My research is focused on programming languages and techniques for concurrency, parallelism, and distribution. The holy grail is to come up with programming techniques that are easy to use, but can still exploit the performance of parallel and distributed systems.

Currently, I’m working as a researcher at Nokia Bell Labs in Antwerp. There, we develop World Wide Streams, a platform for real-time stream processing. About my current work →
